Students learn about oral traditions of First Nation peoples.
I hope parents have taken the time to listen to the Grade 4 World Wide Radio broadcasts. Our episode this week will involve all the students who have not yet taken part in this activity. (They are all articulate and clear speakers who project a confidence!)
Here are some of the activities we are undertaking this week:
- Regular spelling program
- A second paragraph story showing organization into paragraphs, and the use of descriptive language
- A larger in-class assignment that will wrap up the social studies First Nation unit: Land, People, and Identity
- Equivalent fractions and introduction to fractions greater than one: mixed numbers and improper fractions
- In science: experiments with changes of state
