APRIL 3, 2019 – REMINDER COMMUNITY OPEN HOUSE FIELD PROJECT
On Wednesday, April 3, 2019 Notre Dame, in conjunction with the City of Vancouver, will be hosting a community open house from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Alumni Gymnasium. The Notre Dame community is asking for as many families to sign the petition for the go ahead of the field.
The main purpose of this event is to provide accurate and up to date information related to the field project.
KBMR Architects have applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to develop this site with a new all-weather playing field. The proposal includes the following: • A new artificial turf playing surface; • New bleachers and viewing platform; • New retaining walls; and • Reconfiguration of the parking and loading. Under the site’s existing RS-1 zoning, the application is “conditional”, so it may be permitted; however, it requires the decision of the Director of Planning. To learn more, Notre Dame School is hosting a Community Open House: Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at 4:00pm to 7:00pm Notre Dame Regional Secondary School 2880 Venables Street. We welcome your written comments on this application by April 19, 2019. A friendly reminder: When sending in absentee notes, please ensure you add your child’s first and last name, grade, absence date, and reason for absence. It is very important that an absentee note is sent to school each time your child is away. All absentee notes are to be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
SCHOOL FRONT DOOR USE
PLEASE NOTE: All students are to enter the school in the morning through the back door, NOT the front door. The back door remains open until 8:55 am. If your child is late (arriving after 9:00 am), only then should they enter through the front door to check in with the office.
Preschool parents are to ONLY USE the preschool door (Turner side) for drop off and pick up.
NO- BLOCKING DRIVEWAYS!!!
PLEASE DO NOT PARK /BLOCK the Pender or Turner Street Driveways for Pick up/Drop-off or Masses, as we have many deliveries and large truck pick-ups daily. Cars will be ticketed and towed as it is a danger to our students and families trying to navigate through the areas. Thank you for your understanding!
