PARENT ALERT REMINDER
We ask that all parents please review safety procedures with your children and ensure they are not left alone around the community. Children walking home should always walk in groups (the school requires a written note for permission to walk home) and smaller children must always be accompanied by an adult. We again remind all parents to ensure supervisors are present when dropping off in the morning, at the school or in the gym.
LOST AND FOUND NEWS
A link for Lost and Found items can now be found on the OLS website. Please check this link regularly to see if your child’s missing items have been turned into the Lost and Found bin.
PARKING AND PICKUP REMINDERS! – URGENT!
Please Note! We have had complaints made to the City regarding cars parking too close to the corners on Slocan and Turner Streets. As a result, the City of Vancouver has been sending their bylaw enforcement officers around ticketing and towing cars. PLEASE remember to only park legally, respecting intersections, driveways and Fire lanes! Please refrain from blocking the lanes on Turner Street, the driveways behind the Church, and in front of the gym (even for short periods of time). As many students are picked up by other members of family or friends, PLEASE remind all involved to respect the signs and rules of the roads. Thank you for your attention to this very important safety issue.
