DRY ICE EXPERIMENTS BEFORE THE BREAK
Dear Parents of Grade 4 Students,
Welcome back. This is Holy Week, a special time in the Church calendar where we remember the love Our Lord has for us, and the extent he went in suffering for our sake. On Thursday (time TBA) students and any parents will attend a “live” Way of the Cross in the gym. Earlier in the week, students will learn about these last days of Lent, and take part in some special class activities.
As it is a short week, we will not have the regular spelling program. Students will spend time preparing for the 3 way conferences on Wednesday afternoon on April 4th. When the students come next week they will show you self-evaluations and goals for the last term in Grade 4.
We will be starting our last writing unit in Grade 4 which is techniques to add interest and style to writing. We have a very exciting project dissecting owl pellets which we will start this week.
Overall, this last term is full of interesting challenges, at the same time focussed on preparation for Grade 5. (summer has not yet arrived, and will not make it’s appearance until the end of June!)
I look forward to meeting everyone on Wednesday.
Sincerely, Mr. P. Stocker
