As the winter weather is approaching fast, we ask that parents please send their children dressed appropriately for the cold weather (jackets, gloves, etc.). Please view the Extreme Weather & Snow Weather Procedures notice in the download section of the school website. Please note: OLS sweatsuits are not considered school uniform. Please ensure that your child’s uniform is labelled as many are not.
BAKE SALE UPDATE
Thank you to all students and staff for coming out and supporting the Grade 6 bake sale. Total sales and a generous donation from a Grade 6 student, brought our total collection to $960!! Way to go OLS!
Read-a-thon pages were due 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 31. All Read-a-thon pledges were due on Wednesday, November 15. If you have not already returned your readathon pledges, please due so ASAP.

Read-a-thon and Fall Sports Assembly at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 24, 2017. We request that all Fall sports jerseys be washed and returned on the assembly day.

A notice regarding this project was sent home with all students. The items for this project are due back at the school no later than the morning of Friday, November 24, 2017. NOVEMBER 26, 2017 – CONFIRMATION ENROLLMENT MASS at 11:30 a.m.
All students in Grade 7 who will be receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation will be required to attend this Mass on Sunday, November 26 at 11:30 a.m.
NOVEMBER 26, 2017 – FAMILY MASS
The Family Mass will be at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 26. We invite all families from OLS to celebrate the Family Mass with our OLS School Choir. The OLS Family Mass is a great way for our families to attend and participate in the Sunday liturgy.

REMINDER: LICE CHECK
With the wetter weather upon us, the students are indoors more, and our Lice Nurse Volunteer has reminded us to continue checking for lice weekly at home. The next school-wide lice check will be conducted in the New Year.
GRADE 7 FAREWELL COMMITTEE
The Grade 7 Farewell Committee is offering you a chance to decorate your home, feed your family and friends, all while helping the grade 7’s achieve their fundraising goals. This year our committee is very motivated to raise funds and leave our school and your children a special legacy gift. Please help us reach our goal! All order forms are due no later than Friday, November 24, 2017 and pick up date is Friday, December 8, 2017.
