There are no words that can express my gratitude and love for you, the OLS community. However, the following is my humble attempt:
To the beautiful students – I am so proud to have called you ‘my kids’. I have had the privilege of watching each and every one of you develop into respectful and responsible learners over the past 13 years. You constantly amazed me and I know you will all continue growing and learning in your faith and studies. I look forward to hearing your life stories when we meet again. I cannot think of a better send off than the wonderful song you sung for me and the incredible book you made. Thank you very much for everything and I love you all!
To the parents and grandparents – You have been by far the most supportive and caring group I have had the honour of working with; some of you I have known for longer than my years teaching here at OLS. I thank you for entrusting your children in my care and allowing me to learn and grow with them. Thank you also for the most generous cheque. It was not needed (your children were gifts to me), but much appreciated. I know we will keep in contact, as I value all the relationships I have made here at OLS!
To my amazing colleagues and priests – You truly are my ‘OLS Family’ and I will miss you all so much! I have already thanked you, but realized that there are not enough ‘thank you’s’ to convey how much you have all influenced my life as a teacher and friend. You know I love you!
You will all be in my prayers and heart as I venture across that bridge and begin a new journey. This is not good bye, but until we meet again.
Yours in gratitude,
