DECEMBER 8, 2025 – 2:15 DISMISSAL
We will be having an early dismissal on Monday, December 8th at 2:15 p.m. to accommodate a large funeral reception on behalf of the Arduini family. Afterschool care will start at that time for the registered students only. Band students can wait in Afterschool Care (at no charge) for their regular band time. There is no basketball afterschool this day. Thank you for your understanding and support.
DECEMBER 3, 2025 – PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES – NO SCHOOL
Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Wednesday, December 3rd. Please refer to the information sent home by your child’s teacher for more information. *Please remember there will be no school for students on this day. Teachers only have 10 mins to meet with each family, if you feel you need more time, please book another appointment after your meetings.
MCCARTHY UNIFORMS CHRISTMAS SALE
McCarthy Uniforms is having a Christmas sale until Monday, December 15th. Please see the attached flyer for details. Uniforms should be examined and replaced as needed due to children outgrowing them or regular wear and tear.

Our second Advent Paraliturgy will take place on Monday, December 8th at 9:00 a.m. in the church led by the Gr. 4 class. The Gr. 4 and 7 classes will be going to confession on this day. Full uniform is required (black shoes and sweaters).
DECEMBER 12, 2025 – FARM WORKERS DONATIONS
If any OLS families would like to participate in supporting our farm workers, a minimum donation of $5.00 can be brought to their classroom teacher by Friday, December 12th. All donations will go towards purchasing new men’s toques and gloves for all farm workers. In addition, the parish will be hosting a Christmas dinner for them. If donating, please put your donation in a clearly labelled envelope: Farm Worker Donation.

DECEMBER 16, 2025 – CHRISTMAS CONCERT DRESS REHEARSAL
All students must come to the school wearing their Christmas Concert attire. More information will be sent home by your child’s teacher (see attached for costume ideas).
DECEMBER 17, 2025 – CHRISTMAS CONCERT – NO AFTERSCHOOL CARE
This year’s Christmas Concert will be held in the Church. The Matinee is at 1:00 p.m. (doors open at 12:30 p.m.) and the Evening show is at 6:45 p.m. (doors open at 6:15 p.m.). Entrance to the concert will be by donation. More information will be sent home soon. There will be no afterschool care on this day.

DECEMBER 24, 2025 – CHRISTMAS EVE MASS
Our Lady of Sorrows Parish celebrates a children’s Mass at 5:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Children are invited to participate in this Mass with various roles. More information will be sent home shortly.
DECEMBER 31, 2025 – DIAMONDS UNDER THE SEA NEW YEAR’S EVE FAMILY CELEBRATION
This is one party you are not going to want to miss. Come join us for the ultimate New Year’s Eve celebration at Our Lady of Sorrows Gym! The “Diamonds Under the Sea” themed event includes a kid’s game room in the lower hall. Kids ring in the New Year at 9:00 p.m. with a video count down, lots of fun surprises and again at midnight for those who like to stay until the end. Step into a sparkling underwater world as the OLS Parish Hall is transformed into an oceanic paradise. There will be a DJ, concession and bar with slushies and exciting food options. Get ready to dance the night away and ring in the new year with friends and family. This event promises to be a night to remember, filled with laughter, music, and good vibes.
