COVID UPDATE! – IMPORTANT!
Yesterday’s update of our BC Covid numbers indicate that we are now in a more serious 3rd wave of COVID.

Again, all we can do is continue to daily screen, keep children home if they are not well or showing any of the cold or flu symptoms, and to let the office know if there are any potential exposure risks. It may take several days for us to be notified by FH or VCH, therefore, call the office if you are unsure of what to do. Also, all non-essential travel has now been banned, as well travel for pleasure outside your health regions. We are being asked to STAY LOCAL! We ask if there are any risk of exposures or positive cases in your homes, please keep all siblings home for the full 2 weeks, or when they have been cleared from isolation.
We will continue to monitor and update you on all announcements from the Ministry of Health and from the Ministry of Education.

AGAIN, Due to the higher risk of spread, we are stopping ALL special event treats from home effective immediately, i.e., Easter, spring, or summer treats, etc.

APRIL 15-30, 2021 – OLS SPRING AUCTION
The first ever OLS Virtual Spring Auction will be starting Thursday, April 15 at 9am and will run until April 30th. Bidding will close at 9:00pm on April 30th. The website for this fundraising event is: https://www.32auctions.com/OLSspringauction.

Thank you to everyone who has placed BIDS to support our school’s virtual auction! We know some of you are waiting for the FINAL week, but we encourage all of you to register and bid today! We will be doing an EARLY BID DRAW. Place a bid by this FRIDAY at 9am and you will be entered to WIN a $50 Shoppers Drug Mart Gift Card and a box of Charlie’s Chocolates! We will announce the WINNER this Friday, April 23 at 12:00 p.m. You will be notified by email if you are the WINNER!

Prizes can be picked up at the School office on Friday, May 7 between 1-4pm or call the school office to arrange another time. We will accept Cash, Cheque, or PayPal to OLS SCHOOL at pick up.

APRIL 23, 2021 – EARTH DAY – COLOUR DAY
Dress down in earth colour tones on Friday, April 23rd. Those children having gym class on this day, are still required to wear gym strip under their clothes. We will have a zero-waste lunch and a be a friend of the earth activity day. Please click here for information regarding earth day activities.

Please check OLS website regarding information about our school focus week, online buying procedures and promotional deals. Uniforms should be replaced every year due to children outgrowing them or wear and tear.
