Welcome to Grade 6
Our motto this year is:

“Be the change you want to see.”

Dear Parents,
Welcome back to a new and exciting school year. Although there are many changes that have been made to keep your child safe, I intend to make this year memorable. As learning and teaching has adapted to meet new health requirements, this year will be a year of fun and innovative activities. I am excited to welcome your child into the grade 6 classroom. This is a year of tremendous growth as students begin to take on leadership opportunities. It is also a time to reflect on their impact and purpose in the world, that even though they may be one person, one person can make a difference. My goal is that your child moves on to grade 7 with a better sense of who they are, how they can share their talents, and how they can give back to the community.
I thank you in advance for your support as we work together to make this year memorable for your child. If you have any questions do not hesitate to reach out to me at Lbasso@myolosschool.com. or by making an appointment and dropping by the class.
Below is the PE schedule. It is important that your child come prepared to participate in PE classes by bringing full PE strip and proper shoes.
God bless,
Mr. Basso

Tale of the Tape

Today the Grade six class ran their first charity where they helped support the local food bank by sorting food, weighing, and measuring it. They led this initiative with humility and humbleness. Proud of all they have accomplished. They were responsible for sorting 2360 food items as well as 1900 lbs of food.
Congrats grade 6 on an amazing experience and job well done.
