Afterschool Care will be cancelled on Wednesday, December 18th due to the Christmas concert preparation and staff availability.
There will be NO Afterschool Care on Friday, December 20th as it will be a 12:00 p.m. dismissal.

DECEMBER 17, 2024 – CHRISTMAS CONCERT DRESS REHEARSAL
All students must come to the school wearing their Christmas Concert attire as outlined below.

DECEMBER 18, 2024 – CHRISTMAS CONCERT
This year’s Christmas Concert will be held in the school gym. The Matinee is at 1:00 p.m. (doors open at 12:30 p.m.) and the Evening show is at 6:45 p.m. (doors open at 6:15 p.m.). Entrance to the concert will be by donation. More information will be sent home soon. DECEMBER 19, 2024 – PANCAKE BREAKFAST WITH SANTA
An order form for the “Breakfast with Santa” was sent home Tuesday, December 10th with the students. Order forms were due on Thursday, December 12th.
DECEMBER 19, 2024 – GREEN/RED COLOUR DAY $2
Students donating $2 on this day towards Holy Childhood Association, may dress in green, red, or other Christmas colours.
DECEMBER 19, 2024 – CHRISTMAS DESK CLEANUP!
Please have your child (Grade’s 1-7 only) bring a large garbage bag to school to clean out their desks.
DECEMBER 20, 2024 – WINTER PJ DAY – DISMISSAL AT 12:00 P.M.
This is the last day of school before Christmas vacation. Students may come dressed in winter PJ’s. Dismissal is at 12:00 p.m. There will be no afterschool care.
DECEMBER 24, 2024 – CHRISTMAS EVE MASS
Our Lady of Sorrows Parish celebrates a children’s Mass at 5:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Children are invited to participate in this Mass with various roles. Please see the attached letter that was sent home today for details. Please return the permission slip by Monday, December 16th, if your child would like to participate in the play. Roles will be given on a first come first served basis. Children must be available for rehearsal on December 21st from 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. in the church
DECEMBER 31, 2024 – NEW YEAR’S EVE FAMILY CELEBRATION
This is one party you are not going to want to miss. Come join us for the ultimate New Year’s Eve celebration at Our Lady of Sorrows Gym! It is Mardi Gras themed with a kid’s game room in the lower hall. Kids ring in the New Year at 9:30 p.m. with a video count down and lots of fun surprises and again at midnight for those who like to stay until the end. The gym will be decked out in a Mardi Gras theme. There will be a DJ, concession and bar with slushies and exciting food options. Get ready to dance the night away and ring in the new year with friends and family. This event promises to be a night to remember, filled with laughter, music, and good vibes. Don’t miss out on the chance to kick off 2025 in style!

JANUARY 6, 2024 – SCHOOL RE-OPENS
School resumes on Monday, January 6th at 8:45 am.
FEDERATION OF LASER MASTER – TERM 2 ENROLMENT
Laser Master will once again be offered after school at OLS for students in Grades 1-7. Classes will be held on Fridays after school from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. The start date is Friday, January 10th and the term end-date is Friday, March 7th.
