NOVEMBER 29, 2024 – AFTER SCHOOL HOT CHOCOLATE SALE
Come warm up with a decadent cup of hot chocolate after school on Friday, November 29th. The Grade 7 Fundraising Committee will be hosting a hot chocolate station outside the gym. Each cup will sell for $2.00.
DECEMBER 2, 2024 – READ-A-THON PRIZES – ORDERS DUE
Read-a-thon prizes and certificates went home on Thursday. Please send in your child’s prize order form as they are due Monday, December 2nd. Thank you!
DECEMBER 2, 2024 – GRADE 7 NEUFELD FARMS FUNDRAISER – ORDERS DUE
To help get ready for the holiday season, the Grade 7 Fundraising Committee will be having a Neufeld Farms product sale, perfect for Christmas entertaining (see attached flyer). Ordering is available now until December 2nd. Pick up is on Monday, December 9th at 2:30 p.m.

DECEMBER 2, 2024 – ADVENT PARALITURGY (HOPE)
Our first Advent Paraliturgy will take place on Monday, December 2nd at 9:00 a.m. in the church led by the Gr. 5 class. There will be no confessions on this day. Full uniform is required (black shoes and sweaters).
DECEMBER 4, 2024 – PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES – NO SCHOOL
Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Wednesday, December 4th . More information will be sent home soon. Please remember there will be no school on this day for students.
DECEMBER 9, 2024 – ADVENT PARALITURGY (PEACE)
Our second Advent Paraliturgy will take place on Monday, December 9th at 9:00 a.m. in the church led by the Gr. 4 class. The Gr. 3, 4 and 5 classes will be going to confession on this day. Full uniform is required (black shoes and sweaters).

DECEMBER 18, 2024 – CHRISTMAS CONCERT
This year’s Christmas Concert will be held in the school gym. The Matinee is at 1:00 p.m. (doors open at 12:30 p.m.) and the Evening show is at 6:30 p.m. (doors open at 6:00 p.m.). Entrance to the concert will be by donation. More information will be sent home soon.
DECEMBER 19, 2024 – PANCAKE BREAKFAST WITH SANTA
An order form for the “Breakfast with Santa” will be sent home shortly.
DECEMBER 19, 2024 – GREEN/RED COLOUR DAY $2
Students donating $2 on this day towards Holy Childhood Association, may dress in green, red, or other Christmas colours.
DECEMBER 19, 2024 – CHRISTMAS DESK CLEANUP!
Please have your child bring a large garbage bag to school to clean out their desks.
DECEMBER 20, 2024 – WINTER PJ DAY – DISMISSAL AT 12:00 P.M.
This is the last day of school before Christmas vacation. Students may come dressed in winter PJ’s. Dismissal is at 12:00 p.m. There will be no afterschool care.
DECEMBER 24, 2024 – CHRISTMAS EVE MASS
Our Lady of Sorrows Parish celebrates a children’s Mass at 5:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Children are invited to participate in this Mass with various roles. More information will be sent home shortly.
DECEMBER 31, 2024 – NEW YEARS EVE FAMILY CELEBRATION
This is one party you are not going to want to miss. Come join us for the ultimate New Year’s Eve celebration at Our Lady of Sorrows Gym! Mardi Gras themed with a kid’s game room in the lower hall. Kids ring in the New Year at 9:30 p.m. with a video count down and lots of fun surprises and again at midnight for those who like to stay until the end. The gym will be decked out in Mardi Gras theme and will have a DJ, concession and bar with slushies and exciting food options. Get ready to dance the night away and ring in the new year with friends and family. This event promises to be a night to remember, filled with laughter, music, and good vibes. Don’t miss out on the chance to kick off 2025 in style!

JANUARY 6, 2024 – SCHOOL RE-OPENS
School resumes on Monday, January 6th at 8:45 am.
FEDERATION OF LASER MASTER – TERM 2 ENROLMENT
Laser Master will once again be offered after school at OLS for students in Grades 1-7. Classes will be held on Fridays after school from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. The start date is Friday, January 10th and the term end-date is Friday, March 7th.
