Please remember to give yourself more time as the roads are wet and more slippery as we go through winter. We need to continue to be respectful of our neighbours as we will need them to support us in the future growth of our school community.

THE GRADE 7 FUNDRAISING HOT LUNCH PROGRAM – ORDERING DEADLINE NOVEMBER 26TH!
The Gr. 7 Fundraising Committee will be offering two pizza hot lunches in December. The two dates are Tuesday, December 2nd and Tuesday, December 9th. Ordering opened on Friday, November 21st and will close today, Wednesday, November 26th at 3 p.m. Once the ordering is closed, we cannot accept any other orders. Orders that have not been paid for by November 26th at 3 p.m. may be cancelled. If you are paying by cash or cheque, it must be received by November 26th at 3 p.m. so that we can adjust your account. Payments can be made by cheque or cash (dropped off at the office in an envelope with your child’s name and grade on it) or by credit card online. Please note, the school is charged transaction fees for credit card payments so if you’d prefer to pay by cheque or cash, it would be greatly appreciated.

NOVEMBER 28, 2025 – REPORT CARDS TO BE SENT HOME
Report Cards will be sent home on Friday, November 28th.
DECEMBER 1, 2025 – ADVENT PARALITURGY (HOPE)
Our first Advent Paraliturgy will take place on Monday, December 1st at 9:00 a.m. in the church led by the Gr. 5 class. The Gr. 5 and 6 classes will be going to confession on this day. Full uniform is required (black shoes and sweaters).
DECEMBER 2, 2025 – READ-A-THON & FALL SPORTS ASSEMBLY
We will be holding an assembly to recognize students for their Read-a-thon and fall sports achievements on Tuesday, December 2nd at 1:45 p.m. All jerseys must be returned! Read-a-thon certificates will be going home for prize winners. Kindly return the prize order form by Thursday, December 4th. Thank you!
DECEMBER 3, 2025 – PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES – NO SCHOOL
Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Wednesday, December 3rd. Please refer to the information sent home by your child’s teacher for more information. *Please remember there will be no school for students on this day. Teachers only have 10 mins to meet with each family, if you feel you need more time, please book another appointment after your meetings.

All students must come to the school wearing their Christmas Concert attire. More information will be sent home by your child’s teacher.
DECEMBER 17, 2025 – CHRISTMAS CONCERT – NO AFTERSCHOOL CARE
This year’s Christmas Concert will be held in the Church. The Matinee is at 1:00 p.m. (doors open at 12:30 p.m.) and the Evening show is at 6:45 p.m. (doors open at 6:15 p.m.). Entrance to the concert will be by donation. More information will be sent home soon. There will be no afterschool care on this day.

Students may dress in green, red, or other Christmas colours. There is no cost for this color day.
Dismissal At 12:00 P.M. – No Afterschool Care
This is the last day of school before Christmas vacation. Dismissal is at 12:00 p.m. There will be no afterschool care on this day.
DECEMBER 24, 2025 – CHRISTMAS EVE MASS
Our Lady of Sorrows Parish celebrates a children’s Mass at 5:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Children are invited to participate in this Mass with various roles. More information will be sent home shortly.
DECEMBER 31, 2025 – DIAMONDS UNDER THE SEA NEW YEAR’S EVE FAMILY CELEBRATION
This is one party you are not going to want to miss. Come join us for the ultimate New Year’s Eve celebration at Our Lady of Sorrows Gym! The “Diamonds Under the Sea” themed event includes with a kid’s game room in the lower hall. Kids ring in the New Year at 9:30 p.m. with a video count down, lots of fun surprises and again at midnight for those who like to stay until the end. Step into a sparkling underwater world as the OLS Parish Hall is transformed into an oceanic paradise. There will be a DJ, concession and bar with slushies and exciting food options. Get ready to dance the night away and ring in the new year with friends and family. This event promises to be a night to remember, filled with laughter, music, and good vibes. Don’t miss out on the chance to kick off 2026 in style!

Get ready to fill your wine racks and bar just in time for Christmas! The Grade 7 Fundraising Committee is raffling off some amazing wine and spirit prizes. SAFETY REMINDERS!!
As the weather gets darker and wetter, please remember to slow down and not stop to socialize in the drop-off zones. Drop off Zones are meant for quick exit and drop-off behind the coned areas. Please be quick to exit to prevent backing up and passing the stopped cars. Also remember to be good to our neighbours, and please slowdown driving through side streets. Thank you for your diligence with student safety!
