February 11, 2023 – Miami Nights – Back to the 80’s
WOW, WHAT A PARTY! Thank you to our amazing Grade 7 parents and especially our Grade 7 Fundraising Committee for a wonderful and fun evening! It was a great night of food, fun and community building that helped to raise funds for our students. Thank you to all who continually support our school! Ongoing Bottle Drive – Return-It Express
The Grade 7 Fundraising Committee is collecting bottles again this year. It’s easy! Simply place your empties in clear bags and drop them off at any “Return-It Express” depot (link to locations here). The school’s account is under our main phone number (604-253-2434).

FEBRUARY 22, 2023 – LENT BOXES
Lent boxes will be sent home on February 22nd (Ash Wednesday) (Grades 1-7). All boxes will be collected after Easter Monday, Tuesday, April 11th. We ask that ALL students label their box with their name and house colour. We also ask that you print the amount collected on the box. Please use this opportunity to encourage your child to give alms (to do charitable work).

2023 INCOME TAX RECEIPTS
The 2022 school income tax receipts were sent home on Thursday, February 9th to the oldest child.
MARCH 8, 2023 – IMPORTANT DATE! MANDATORY ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The Mandatory General Meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 8th at 6:45 p.m. in the school gym. A member from each family must attend this mandatory meeting or a fine will be charged as per the Policy Handbook on Page 12 of your child’s Agenda. If you are unable to attend due to illness, vacation, etc., a letter must be sent addressed to the Parish Education Committee explaining why you will be absent from the meeting.
2023-2024 SCHOOL REGISTRATION PACKAGES
Registration packages will be distributed at the Mandatory Annual General Meeting being held on Wednesday, March 8th. Please note that packages will not be given out prior to the meeting.
COMMUNITY EVENT
FEBRUARY 21, 2023 – CARNIVAL PERFORMANCE AT THE ITALIAN CULTURAL CENTRE
On Tuesday, February 21st at 6:00 p.m., there will be a carnival performance held at the Italian Cultural Centre. The carnival play is about “Pulcinella”, the most popular Neapolitan carnival mask. Admission is free and the play is in both Italian and English. After the performance, the kids will receive “crostoli”; a special sweet baked for the Carnival.
