JANUARY 19 & 25, 2023 – CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING
The Grade 6 class will begin their Cross-Country skiing lessons on Thursday, January 19th and Wednesday, January 25th. Please refer to the information package sent home from Mr. McCloskey. Please note it is very important that the students are dressed appropriately for this event.
JANUARY 25, 2023 – NOTRE DAME PLACEMENT EXAM
Gr. 7 students wanting to attend Notre Dame Regional Secondary will be writing the Placement Exam at Notre Dame on Wednesday, January 25th at 1:00 p.m.
JANUARY 29, 2023 – FAMILY MASS – 11:30 A.M.
The Family Mass will be held on Sunday, January 29th at 11:30 a.m. We invite all families from OLS to celebrate the Family Mass. This is a wonderful way for our families to attend and participate in the required Sunday liturgy.
GRADE 7 FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE UPDATE
February 11, 2023 – Miami Nights – Back to the 80’s
The Grade 7 Fundraising Committee is hosting a fundraising night on Saturday, February 11th. Ticket order forms will be sent home this week and due back no later than Friday, January 27th. Each ticket costs $50, which includes a free drink, food, music, dancing, games, late night pizza and so much more. Dust off your best 80’s attire and be ready to have some fun! Event details.
Drive Thru Recycle Fundraiser – Bottle Drive
Thank you to everyone for supporting our 2nd annual ‘Drive Thru’ Recycle Fundraiser last week. We collected 98 bags of empties! Congratulations to the Grade 2 class for returning the most bags and winning a free pizza lunch. Date of lunch will be announced shortly.
Wine Raffle

Ongoing Bottle Drive – Return-It Express
The Grade 7 Fundraising Committee is collecting bottles again this year. It’s easy! Simply place your empties in clear bags and drop them off at any “Return-It Express” depot (link to locations here). The school’s account is under our main phone number (604-253-2434).
