Important Parent Announcement!
Dear Parents, we would like to remind all parents that classroom chats organized by the parents are only to post information or reminders about the school or events for your child’s grade. They are NOT for posting criticisms or venting on frustrations with teachers or staff or other students or parents. Please, remember to keep all communications professional and to follow the proper channels of communication if you have any concerns (Teacher/Coach first – Principal and then PEC). Thank you to those parents who monitor and keep the chats professional and remind others to keep personal complaints out when they appear. Thank you.
NOVEMBER 19, 2025 – READ-A-THON NEWS
Thank you to all families who supported the Read-a-thon by encouraging reading and contributing to this mandatory fundraiser. All pledge money is now past due. Kindly send outstanding pledge money by this Thursday, November 20. Notices have been sent to those families who have not yet sent in their pledges. Thank you for your generosity!
NOVEMBER 20, 2025 – GRADE 6 ANNUAL BAKE SALE
The Annual Grade 6 Bake Sale will take place on Thursday, November 20th. This year each bag will be $2.00. The Proceeds will go to The Holy Childhood Association. Thank you to the grade 6 parents for organizing.
NOVEMBER 21, 2025 – CISVA NETWORKING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT DAY – NO SCHOOL
There will be a Professional Development Day for CISVA teachers on Friday, November 21st.; therefore, there will be no school for students on this day.
NOVEMBER 23, 2025 – FAMILY & GR. 7 CONFIRMATION ENROLMENT MASS
All students in Grade 7 who will be receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation this year will be required to attend this Mass on Sunday, November 23rd at 11:30 a.m. This Mass will be led by our Grade 7 students! We invite all families from OLS to celebrate the Family Mass. This is a great way for our families to attend and participate in the required Sunday liturgy.
NOVEMBER 28, 2025 – REPORT CARDS TO BE SENT HOME
Report Cards will be sent home on Friday, November 28th. Please return to keep the report card covers to the teachers.
DECEMBER 3, 2025 – PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES – NO SCHOOL
Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Wednesday, December 3rd, Appointment notices went home and were due back on Wednesday, November 12th. Appointments first come, first served. Please remember there will be no school for students on this day. Teachers will be sending home your scheduled interview times today. Please contact your classroom teacher if there are any errors.

FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE NEWS
THE GRADE 7 FUNDRAISING HOT LUNCH PROGRAM – ORDERING DEADLINE NOVEMBER 26TH!
The Gr. 7 Fundraising Committee will be offering two pizza hot lunches in December. The two dates are Tuesday, December 2nd and Tuesday, December 9th. Ordering will open on Friday, November 21st and will close on Wednesday, November 26th at 3 p.m. Once the ordering is closed, we cannot accept any other orders. Orders that have not been paid for by November 26th at 3 p.m. may be cancelled. If you are paying by cash or cheque, it must be received by November 26th at 3 p.m. so that we can adjust your account. Payments can be made by cheque or cash (dropped off at the office in an envelope with your child’s name and grade on it) or by credit card online. Please note, the school is charged transaction fees for credit card payments so if you’d prefer to pay by cheque or cash, it would be greatly appreciated.

NEUFELD FARMS FUNDRAISER
To help get ready for the holiday season, the Grade 7 Fundraising Committee will be having a Neufeld Farms product sale, perfect for Christmas entertaining (see attached flyer). Ordering is now available until December 1st. Pick up is on Wednesday, December 10th at 4:00 p.m.

REMINDERS
KINDERGARTEN 2026 SIBLING REGISTRATION FORM – NOW PAST DUE
The Kindergarten sibling registration form was sent home on Thursday, November 6th and was due back by Thursday, November 13th to secure your child a spot. If we do not receive this form, and we have completed the registration process, your child will not have a spot for the September 2026 Kindergarten class.
SAFETY REMINDERS!!
As the weather gets darker and wetter, please remember to slow down and not stop to socialize in the drop-off zones. Drop off Zones are meant for quick exit and drop-off behind the coned areas. Please be quick to exit to prevent backing up and passing the stopped cars. Thank you for your diligence with student safety!
