COVID UPDATE!
As mentioned by Dr. Bonnie Henry on Thursday, November 19, 2020, there are new community travel, confined space, and outside family group visitor restrictions until December 7th, 2020.

Your questions about B.C.’s new COVID-19 measures answered.

These new restrictions are a direct result of outbreaks from large gatherings without proper distancing or masking. These restrictions do not apply to schools or businesses provided that we continue to follow our safety plans. Therefore, it is critical that we continue to do all we can to maintain our excellent safety record. Please continue to stay apart and wear masks when picking up your children.

Also, please continue to follow all Public Health guidelines (www.bccdc.ca), as they do have the power to fine and close schools and businesses if we do not continue to do our part. I am sure you are following the many exposure and outbreak notices on the Vancouver Coastal Health website (www.vch.ca). We have yet to have an exposure because of your diligence and care as parents! Thank you!

WEATHER UPDATE
Please note, as the weather is starting to get cold and rainy, we are asking parents to ensure students have proper jackets and shoes. As well, please do NOT send students who have gym in the morning only with a PE strip! Also, students may have to be outside throughout the day for recess or movement between the buildings (gym and Church). Please send jackets with hoods for your children to school daily, as well as ensuring proper uniform. Thank you.

MASKS WORK! PLEASE WASH THEM REQULARLY OR THROW THEM IN THE DRYER DAILY!
As the news of COVID numbers increases every day, all we can do is our part to stay safe. It is critical to remember to continue doing the daily screening checklist (also found on OLS’s website) and NOT send kids to school ill. Also, continue to follow the return to school procedures found in OLS’s Newsletter-Reminders-2020-2021 for additional school information.

PARISH MASSES
Please visit our Parish Website: www.olos.ca for the live Masses and updates. In this incredibly difficult time for many of us, our Parish, Father Richard, Father Testamar, and our Religious Sisters, do a wonderful job of providing us with hope and remind us that we are not alone; Jesus is with us. Masses as a family are a wonderful way to keep connected as a family and watch and pray together virtually.

REMINDERS
Please see OLS’s Newsletter-Reminders-2020-2021 for additional school information.
