OLS BAND PROGRAM!!
Starting September 15, 2025, a Band program will be part of our school offerings for Grades 6 and 7 only. Meetings/rehearsals/classes will be held Mondays after school from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. and will be taught by Mr. Passmore. Mr. Passmore is the Band and Instrumental Music teacher at Notre Dame Regional Secondary School. Students will work towards short public performances at OLS and will be invited to share at Notre Dame.

To participate in this optional program, students and their families will attend a brief meeting on Monday, September 15th. Here, presentations on flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, trombone, euphonium and percussion will be demonstrated.

Students will supply their own instrument, and it is highly recommended that instruments be rented from the online portal of Tapestry Music or from Massullo Music. These two retailers have proven to have the best customer service for beginning band instrument rental programs. The cost of renting a previously rented band instrument varies from approximately $22/month (flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, percussion) to approximately $45/month (alto saxophone). There are options for renting new instruments that are approximately $31 to $59 a month. Instrument rental plans offer the opportunity to have rental monies be transferred to the eventual purchase of the instrument, should the person so desire.

Please forward any questions to [email protected].
