COVID UPDATE
As per Dr. Bonnie Henry’s latest update and her 4 Step Provincial Opening Plan, (https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/covid-19/info/restart) there is now a hope that all will return to normal in September.

http://cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/bc-covid-restrictions-update-may-25-1.6039243

This plan is predicated on the number of COVID cases continuing to drop as more of the province is being vaccinated. Vaccinations have now opened for ages 12 and up. People must still practice COVID safety plans with the recommended numbers, wearing masks and distancing outdoors. Although this is great and hopeful news, we are still having to prepare for exposures until June 30th. Please continue to monitor your children for any sickness, headaches, nausea, or tiredness. The best way to stop the spread is to continue to keep sick students at home, keep away from group settings (like sleepovers and birthday parties until July 1st), and continue to wear a mask when in close contact. Our families have been amazing! Although we have had a few exposures, they have not been large outbreaks due to the diligence of our students, staff, and parent community. Thank you to all our parents and families who have kept the safety of our OLS Community the top PRIORITY and isolated if exposed to prevent the spread of COVID! We have 1 month to go, so just continue to do what you have done these last 16 months and let us all finish the year safe!

MASSES NOW OPEN for 50 PEOPLE!
Please go to www.olos.ca for an update on our new Parish worship numbers. This is great news for our faith community, who have been waiting patiently to go back in person. We want to thank Father Richard, our pastor, and his Parish staff and volunteers who have continued to provide wonderful Masses and prayers virtually throughout this pandemic. Please visit the Parish website for more details and for registering for upcoming Masses.
