APRIL 26, 2024 – CLOTHING DRIVE
It’s time to clean out your closet because the OLS Leadership Council is having a Clothing Drive! We take donations that are clean and gently used. Please see the attached flyer for further details. You can drop off your donations in Father Rosemond’s garage on the following date:

APRIL 27, 2024 – FIRST COMMUNION RETREAT
The Grade Two First Communion Retreat will be held on Saturday, April 27th. Please refer to the information sent home by the Grade Two teacher.
APRIL 28, 2024 – FAMILY MASS
The Family Mass will be hosted by our Grade 4 class and will held be on Sunday, April 28th at 11:30 a.m. We invite all families from OLS to celebrate the Family Mass. This is a wonderful way for our families to attend and participate in the required Sunday liturgy.

MAY 10, 2024 – MOTHER’S DAY MASS
The Kindergarten class is leading this special Mass on Friday, May 10th at 9:00 a.m. All parents are welcome to attend, especially Mothers and Grandmothers.

MAY 16, 2024 – CONFIRMATION NEWS
On Tuesday, May 14th at 7:15 p.m. there will be a mandatory Confirmation rehearsal for all Grade 7 students and their sponsors in the gym. Confirmation will be held on Thursday, May 16th at 7:00 p.m. Please refer to the notice sent home regarding your arrival time.

STAFF UPDATE 2024
Most staff are returning for the 2024-2025 school year; however, we will be saying good-bye to our amazing Music teacher, Mr. Alex Kanabe, and our long-time serving outstanding Physical Education teacher, Mr. McCloskey, who will be retiring. We will be updating you when we will have our farewell for our leaving staff at a later date. We wish to thank them both for their service and wish them blessings of happiness and health in their future endeavours.
OLS GOLF TOURNAMENT!!
We are excited to be hosting our First Annual OLS Golf Tournament on Friday, September 6th, 2024, at Swaneset Bay Resort & Country Club, in Pitt Meadows. This is an important start for our process of building a new school! We are hoping that families who golf, or families with businesses will join us for a fun day of community and support for our new school fund. Even if you are not a golfer, we are offering hole sponsorships and signs for only $500 per hole (tax receipts will be available). This is a great way to introduce your business to the greater OLS business community! If your business is interested in being a larger corporate sponsor, we can also accommodate your business needs. MAY 24, 2024 – FAREWELL MASS FOR OLS CARMELITE SISTERS
Archbishop Miller, together with our parish priests will be celebrating a farewell Mass at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 24th for the Carmelite Sisters. We invite all families from OLS to celebrate this Mass.

MCCARTHY UNIFORMS BUNDLE SAVINGS
Every year McCarthy Uniforms offers bundle savings to our school community. These bundles offer an additional coupon incentive that can be used later in the year to top up student’s uniforms. Please see the attached bundle flyer for further details. Uniforms should be examined and replaced as needed due to children outgrowing them or regular wear and tear.
AFTERSCHOOL PICK-UP
Due to the warmer weather, the children will now be spending more time outside. Therefore, the gate to the school parking lot will not be opened until 2:30 p.m. Please do not arrive earlier than 2:30 p.m. to pick-up your child(ren) and wait at the gate as this creates a backlog of traffic and a nuisance for the neighbourhood.

Gr. 7 FUNDRAISING – ONGOING BOTTLE DRIVE – RETURN-IT EXPRESS
The Grade 7 Fundraising Committee is collecting bottles again this year. It’s easy! Simply place your empties in clear bags and drop them off at any “Return-It Express” depot (link to locations here). The school’s account is under our main phone number (604-253-2434).
