CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR STUDENTS!

Please go to our website www.ourladyofsorrows.ca and click under the students menu after the grade 7 class, the OLOS video page.  For all our new videos! Today we had our virtual Living Rosary Prayer, and had our grades participate from their classrooms. We will soon post the link for all of you to follow as a family. Thank you to our Grade 7 class, Mrs. Crescenzo, Mrs. Bortignon and all their helpers (Mr. Basso, Ms Krystiana) who made this special prayer possible!

Especially thank you to all our students who were extremely reverent and followed along with the prayers so well. Our classroom microphones were not on during the filming (to reduce the feedback), however every student was extremely engaged and repeated their prayers properly! Thank you OLS!

Make sure you check all our new student videos weekly!

*Also please continue to join our virtual or in person masses by visiting www.olos.ca. October is the month of the Rosary, and we encourage families to continue to view and participate in our Parish Activities.

COVID – WEEKLY UPDATE! -MASKS WORK!

As we hear of more local schools being impacted by COVID, we are thankful that our parents and students are continuing to be careful and following our guidelines. This week, I wish to thank all our parents who are using masks, and especially when they are required for pickups in the playground. We continue to ask parents outside the gates to be cautious and stay 6 ft apart as well. As the numbers continue to rise in the community, we ask that parents continue to do their daily checks, and NOT send a child to school with a fever or any flu like symptoms. If anyone has been exposed to someone with COVID-19 they MUST follow all CDC guidelines!

Please continue to follow the Vancouver Coastal Health website: www.vch.ca and the exposure listings page: http://www.vch.ca/covid-19/school-exposures#.X4fbW8Vw86U.gmail

All return to school procedures can be found on the OLS’s  Newsletter-Reminders-2020-2021 page.

Thank you for your continued diligence!

FALL SPORTS UPDATE- COMMUNITY SPORTS AND ACTIVITIES UPDATE!

“Pare it down: B.C.’s top doctor urges caution after COVID-19 exposures linked to sports. Globalnews.ca”

https://globalnews.ca/news/7395454/bc-covid-19-rec-sports-bonnie-henry/

As some of our kids including our Option 4 children have restarted their community sports and activities again, please read Dr Bonnie Henry’s update on community sports and spread!

Again, our grade cohorts are always separated from each other and all students play within their cohorts only!  We ask parents who wish to watch from safe social distances to continue to wear masks or stay AT LEAST 6FT APART.  Together we can stay safe until Christmas Break!
