PARKING AND DROP-OFF REMINDER
Thank you for those parents who are following the drop-off and pick up rules. When dropping off or picking up your children, please only park in designated parking spots outside of the school gates. DO NOT park in the fire lane in front of the Gym (behind the Church). Also, please respect our neighbours on Turner Street. Many families are parking in front of their houses and walking their children to the school. If you do this, you must return to your car in less than 5 minutes or you may be ticketed. Also, do not drive up the wrong side of the street or back up or U-turn in the drop-off lanes. Once again, ensure you are following all the ‘rules of the road’.  Thank you for your consideration for our student’s safety!

COVID UPDATE
Please note as we start the rainy and colder fall season, students may begin to experience cold and/or flu like symptoms. Please keep your child home if they are sick, as students do not function well if they are ill. If you, or your children, are experiencing cold and/or flu like symptoms COVID testing is NOT required as long as they do not come to school with any symptoms. Masking is encouraged for primary and required for grades 4-7, as well as continuing to keep safe distances, and washing hands. If parents are unsure, or if symptoms persist for more than 72 hours, please seek medical advice or call 811. If unsure, testing is always encouraged prior to returning to school if symptoms continue or worsen. Teachers will always support students who are isolating. Please send an email to your child’s teacher for support or any missed assignments. Students will also be given time to catch up upon returning. Thank you for your consideration.

SEPTEMBER 27 – OCTOBER 4, 2021 – VIRTUAL SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR
Last year we missed the Book Fair due to COVID-19. This year, in order to keep the students and their family members safe, we are having a virtual Book Fair. The Book Fair will run from the morning of Monday, September 27th until the end of the day on Monday, October 4th. Following is the website link that will bring you to the Book Fair shopping site. Take your time to look over the books on offer, order and pay online, and the books will be delivered to the school to be distributed to the students. The school will receive 20% of the total amount ordered in free products from Scholastic Canada. In years past, the school has acquired many resources for free because of the generosity of parents purchasing books at the Book Fair. Thank you in advance for your support.

PARENT PARTICIPATION
Thank you for all those parents who have returned to their parent participation positions. As we are not expecting to return to Bingo until January, we will be sending an email for all those families who were moved to school, parish maintenance and support, or to community fundraising. We do have upcoming work parties for both school and parish. Please respond to the survey after the Meet the Teacher night. Thank you for all your support!
